u-wot? is based in the Wotton-u-Edge region - hence the name. Home pub is the New Inn at Waterley Bottom or in u-wot? speak - wot bot.
It is designed for the environmentally aware hashers, why waste valuable natural resources by driving, for example, a round trip of 60 miles when you can have a run on your doorstep. Also to consider is the time element and cost.
u-wot? is aimed at the Stroud Valley and south hashers, also those north Bristol hashers who don't fancy a long journey south. There is talk of having a north Gloucestershire affliliated u-wot hash.
u-wot? is an interactive hash run entirely by the website. They are no restrictions for runs, they can be up against runs too far afield or on nights/days when there are no runs and the hare just fancies doing one.
GM, RA, Hare Raiser and other hash positions: All these positions are taken on by the hares on the night. The hare(s) are the GM and RA, if they don't fancy doing the RA duties then they can delegate - but this must be done before the run to give the lucky recipient a chance. u-wot is anticipated to have the quickest refreshing of GMs ever! Hare raiser is the website.
Markings: The only markings used are a circle for a check and a blob of flour for on. No wasting of a valuable food stuff on this hash, remember, we are environmentally friendly. So if you travel 100m from a check and have not found flour, then you are not on and must return to the check.

Runs so far:
1st run from The Rose and Crown Nympsfield, 18 brave hashers collected to experience the delights of the new hash and were not disappointed. A smashing trail meandered through woods and the Cotswold Escarpment, good weather and lovely views. The down downs were held at the last check, which turned into a very sociable sharing of ale, bit like holy communion. Nice intimate apres back in the pub, good beer and good food.
2nd run, also from The Rose and Crown, 18th November. Here we were joined by CVH3 and Oxford, very large pack and atrocious weather, sleet and horizontal rain, managed to find shelter in the Woodchester Valley. Decided against the down downs at the last check as it was freezing. All in good spirits despite the conditions, it was good when it finished. Jolly time was had back in the pub.
